Research Platforms

Malmö University has two Research Platforms. A Research Platform is an organisational research unit. The aim is to enhance and strengthen research within a confined research area at a faculty. The Research Platform is a tool by which the faculty can make strategic efforts. Every Research Platform has a director who is appointed by the faculty's dean.

Medea is a transdisciplinary research lab at Malmö University where researchers address societal challenges through experiments and interventions. The research focus is on media, design, and public engagement.

Russia and the Caucasus Regional Research (RUCARR)

RUCARR has its research focus on political, social, cultural, economic and other relations of significance within and between Russia and the Caucasus, on the one hand, and with neighboring states, on the other. Areas of expertise also include history, nationalism, ethnic and national identity, security issues, civil society development, authoritarianism and post-authoritarian transition and transformations.
